- Camp at the Claytor Nature Study Center: This trip included watching calling frogs, collecting spiders by headlight, hiking, a pasta dinner, copious quantities of hot chocolate, and a number of wet feet from exploring the river.
- Annual picnic on Parent's Weekend for students and their parents at the Claytor Nature Study Center.
- Go for a hike and lunch at St. Mary's trail system near Buena Vista.
- Visit the National Zoo
- End of semester gathering at Dr. Benson's house.
- We sponsor an annual dinner, open to all interested students, of local speakers with jobs in biology or environmental science. Speakers discussed job opportunities, requirements for different types of positions, and helped some students network with potential future employers.
- Camping at Cave Mountain Lake. This trip included a terrific cookout followed by lots of time around the campfire eating s'mores. The following day, we enjoyed hot chocolate and other delicacies for breakfast, then hiked up to the Devil's Marbleyard and enjoyed a picnic lunch before returning to LC.
- Whale Watch!!
- Annual College Lake and Blackwater Creek Cleanup
Future Plans:
